The Clerk of the Court was authorized to issue certificates of citizenship after the petitioner took an oath of allegiance. The Court kept a receipt of each certificate issued. Shown on these receipts are number of the certificate; name of the citizen and age; name, age, and place of residence of wife and children; date of certificate and number of petition. Included are those certificate receipts issued at Camp Lee, Virginia during World War I.
